Crappie tournament to be held at Lake of Egypt

MARION, IL (KFVS) - Crappie anglers get ready because the Lake of Egypt will be holding a crappie fishing tournament March 18 and 19 in Williamson County.

Crappie USA is America's premiere national crappie fishing tournament organization. It will be holding the event and it's your chance to qualify to compete at the Classic event, which will be held October 27-29 on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes at Paris, Tennessee.

ACA membership is required to fish in their tournaments.

There are several options to enter and there will be Free Crappie Kids Rodeo held on Saturday morning at the Elks Lodge, Lake of Egypt Road in Marion, Ill. from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with sign up beginning at 8 a.m.
